Suspicion of others: Paranoid personality disorder is a life long pattern of behaving involving: lack of trust and suspicion of others resulting in social isolation and hostility toward others. It can interfere with job or family. Medication can be helpful. Therapy is difficult due to lack of trust. It may occur in families with schizophrenia, but not have all the symptoms of schizophrenia or psychosis.
