Stool studies: You may have contracted a bowel infection. The 3 main causes are c. Difficile toxin, ova & parasites, and bacterial colitis (yersinia, campylobacter, shigella). If you have cramping abdominal pain, perhaps even with bloody diarrhea; there is more of a reason to see your fp and submit a stool specimen for analysis. This will most quickly give you the answer and then the treatment.
