A member asked:

How can i prove that my parents mentally abused me 60 years ago?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Why bother?: Even if this were a good idea, it would be tough to prove. You would need evidence, such as recordings of abusive statements, testimony of witnesses to the abuse, etc. You haven't provided your rationale for wanting to prove mental abuse. In most cases this effort would not be advised. If, in your opinion, they abused you, what is your next move? Forgiveness, understanding, or just moving on?
