A member asked:

Why do my hemorrhoids only hurt after a bowel movement, even if my stools are not hard?

See below: Any time you sit on the toilet, gravity as well as the pushing that occurs with a normal bowel movement, moves blood into the hemorrhoidla veins. This causes them to swell. To improve the pain, do not spend too much time on the toilet and use baby or moist wipes. Avoid toilet paper - it only irritates the hemorrhoids more.
