Can Increase Risk: I don't know that i would say that a people with bipolar disorder can make themselves become manic. However, they can certainly increase their risk by not staying in treatment and by not paying attention to healthy lifestyle habits. By stopping treatment and living in an unhealthy way, it is much more likely that further manic episodes will occur.
