Allergic reactions: Allergic reactions come about when a particle or substance gets your immune system to react. This causes your body to produce hitamine from blood cells and often there is a reaction between your immunoglobins and the offending agent that will result in variou swelling and redness. Treatment for most acute allergic reaction includes and antihitamine and often a steroid.
