With continuing concerns re: intravaginal mesh, why is it still used frequently for slings. new slings to soon to determine long term safety?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Acceptable Risk: The "failure rate" of the intravaginal mesh is only about 4%. The commercials on tv advertising class-action lawsuits makes the failure rate seem much higher. There are risks to every surgery and surgical device use. It's best to discuss pros and cons with one's physician on an individual basis.
