A member asked:

Will an obgyn take care of frequent urination symptoms or is that something i should see my family doc for?

Frequency: Frequent urination must be differentiated from polyuria - large amounts of urine at a time. Frequency is usually caused by bladder or urethral issues. These may include UTI - urinary tract infection. Polyuria can be caused by diabetes. If you are pregnant see your OB otherwise see your primary care doc.

Either one: If you feel that you have UTI symptoms either of the doctors are fine whoever could see you first. But if you also have vaginal symptoms see your obgyn.
