Peds intensivistde: Depending on the type of hospital one may find general pediatricians or board certified pediatric intensivists. It may also depend on the"level" of ICU ie are there really sick kids or only moderately i'll children?

PICU: Usually pediatric intensive care units have an doctor who is board certified in pediatrics and critical care pediatrics (intensivist). Depending on the center there may be pediatricians or training pediatricians who also work there or cover the unit with the intensivist available to be in the hospital quickly.
