Is syphilis spread in the air?

No: Syphillis is not spread in the air like a flu or cold. Transmission requires direct contact with the germ. This can be as it passes mom to baby in her blood, thru a tainted blood transfusion(they test it to avoid that) &direct contact with sores during sex or other contact.

No.: Syphilis is spread nearly completely by unprotected sexual intercourse. Very rarely the genital lesions or body fluid exposure can spread this disease during certain stages. This disease is not spread via cough, sneeze or other airborne method.
