More info needed: Information of how long it has been there, has it changed color, size shape. Best to have it seen and maybe a biopsy taken to make sure it is a benign growth.

Can't see it: It can be a benign lesion like a beauty mark or mole. But, any hyperpigmented lesion deserves to be examined by a doctor who can then decide to examine via dermascope (a magnifying lens) or biopsy if they feel warranted. Asymmetry of lesion, irregular borders, color, and diameter size are factors they will examine.
