Many Factors: Having a family history of breast cancer, previous biopsy showing atypical hyperplasia, and having dense breast tissue all increase risk. Older age at first childbirth and not breastfeeding increase risk. In addition, being overweight, not exercising, having a high alcohol intake, and a high-fat diet also all increase risk.
