Not much: Unfortunately once a toenail is damaged or deformed it will usually stay that way. Just keep them trimmed properly.

Depends: If the deformity is due to infection such as a fugal infection, it can be treated and your nail should go back towards normal. If there has been trauma to the area it will not go back to normal.
