Is it safe to take acetaminophen when you have rsv?

Yes: Respiratory syncytial virus (rsv) is basicly the "cold". In partially immune older folks it may only cause a runny nose & cough. In some susceptable infants it can go deep into the airways of the lungs & cause a bountiful outpouring of mucous & debris that cause lots of problems. Acetomenophen is a simple comfort med that helps in pain & fever management. It can be used safely in rsv.

Yes: There is no interaction here and the tylenol (acetaminophen) will help keep the child comfortable.
