Some, not all: Peppermint can decrease muscle spasm in bowel, so may help with cramping; carminative (helps passing gas). Can increase reflux from stomach into esophagus, so would worsen that problem. Does not take the place of meds, diet, etc. For other conditions, like celiac sprue, inflammatory bowel disease.
