STDs are infections: STDs or sexually transmitted diseases are 'by definition' infectious diseases. This is because there has to be 'sex' to 'transmit' these diseases - and all of them are related to germs of one kind or another. Germs 'do' that sort of thing - try to make us sick. But we can take many measures to protect ourselves and our loved ones. Be smart, practice safe sex and try to learn all you can.
