Longer that what?: Generally a maternal age over 35 can carry risks for Down syndrome and other genetic disorders. The age you started your menses does not have much to do with that.

Prolonged ?: A women is born with all the eggs she will ever have,They age & accumulate radiation/exposures at the same rate regardless of when you start. Some women who start at 11 achieve pregnancy in their 50's, but their risk of a chromosome defect like Down syndrome is about 1/20 at that point. I would visit with a genetic counselor to learn your chances of a healthy outcome.
