Simple test: You could opt out; the medical establishment can't force you to submit to the test, but i would highly encourage allowing the test to be run; if not for your sake, then for your unborn child...Hiv is very treatable with modern medicine, and meds during pregnancy significantly reduce the risk your baby could be born with hiv...Do the screening; you have nothing to fear other than fear itself.

Get tested!: Testing is completely voluntary, but you should get tested for your baby's sake. Knowing you're positive allows you to take medications that will prevent the baby from becoming infected. It also allows you to get started on medications that will save your life and protect future partners. For those reasons, you should be able to overcome your fears. Good luck!
