Polyps: Usually removed using a microdebrider. It is a a small device that clips a tiny amount of tissue and suctions it away. Polyps can bleed a lot and packing is often needed. Also, polyps have a tendency to come back.

Common surgery: Usually done under general anesthesia. Doctor looks in the nose with a video camera and removes polyps with a tweezer like instrument or shaving instrument.
