What is the formula for calculating free testosterone from total t, shbg and albumin? i don't want the online calculator, i want to crunch the numbers

Good for you!: The free androgen index is the total testosterone divided by the steroid hormone binding globulin, as a percent (multiply by 100). Be sure you have the right units to do it. Whether this is helpful in managing real people in the real world is for you to decide. I agree it makes little sense, but i'm pleased you're your own person & have chosen medicine. Follow your dream.

Free testosterone: If you need free testosterone levels, get a test for free testosterone, rather than estimating it. Have a healthy diet, exercise 30 minutes/day, drink plenty of water, have safe sex, no tobacco alcohol weed or street drugs. For nutrition: http://www.choosemyplate.gov/.
