A member asked:

What can a problem in the thyroid do to your eyes?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Bulge.: Hyperthyroidism is associated with thyroid stimulating immunoglobulins which can also bind to and stimulate the growth of muscles behind the eye. When these grow they push the eyes forward in the socket and create the bug eye appearance.
