Trees.: Trees pollinate in the spring, and which ones are most dominant varies by region. Grasses pollinate in the summer, and weeds in the fall. There are very few things that pollinate in the winter, those tend to be at more southern latitudes.

Tree pollen: The most common spring-specific allergen is tree pollen. Grass typically pollinates in the summer, weeds in the fall. Perennial allergens are around all year, and include pets and dust mites.

Many: There are various antihistamines that are good for seasonal allergies many of which are over the counter such as Claritin Allegra or zyrtec. If those do not help there are prescription antihistamines and nasal sprays which can help.

OTC: Assuming you don’t have contraindications, Flonase nasal spray is a good first med to try. Can add Zyrtec orally. Before anything, a netti pot can make you feel *much* better with minimal to no risk. If those don’t work, see a doc and consider adding singular and/or astelin nasal spray. For the poor folks who suffer on that regimen or don’t want to take daily meds, allergy shots can help!
