Orthodontics: Invisalign is a special type of orthodontic treatment using a series of clear retainers to move and align teeth without brackets, bands, and wires that are commonly used in traditional orthodontic therapy. Your dentist or orthodontist can advise you if you are a candidate for invisalign as not all malocclusions can be treated with the technique.

Orthodontics: Invisalign is a brand name for an invisable aligner...There are other brands as well. Essentially, invisible aligners are "braces" that are clear and removable by patient to facilitate brushing/flossing. This type of orthodontics can be quite effective depending on the orthodontic situation that is to be corrected. It doesn't work in certain types of cases.

Invisalign: Its a series of clear trays like retainers that are made to move your teeth. You change them out for a new one every 2 weeks. Each new tray moves your teeth more and more until they are straight.

Depends: The quality of invisalign treatment is related to a) the quality of the clinician b) rigorous and strict case selection guidelines and c) of course the seriousness of the case (should be weeded out by case selection). In general I am very disappointed with the whole treatment model. It sets a very low academic bar for admittance, and is in general driven by cosmetic desires. I have used myself.

Very: Clear aligner treatments have been demonstrated to be very effective. However, the applicability of this type of orthodontic treatment is dependent upon your individual needs. That necessitates an examination by an orthodontic specialist. For specifics about invisalign, take a look at their website: www.Invisalign.Com.

Choices: Both invisalign & braces can provide you with a beautiful smile and each have their pros and cons. Invisalign will likely cost you more and take longer, but as an adult you may prefer how it looks while you are in treatment. It works by using plastic aligners that gently push your teeth with each tray, when they fit perfectly-- time to change trays so new ones push a bit more

Plastic trays: Clear aligners are a series of computer generated plastic trays designed to better align your teeth. Research shows in the hands of Orthodontic Specialists they are about half as effective, and usually more costly than braces. See an Orthodontist to see if your malocclusion is best treated with fixed or removable appliances.
