A member asked:

Are there any effective treatments for arthritis?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends: Inflammatory arthritis may be effectively managed with meds, commonly referred to as dmards. Osteoarthritis tends to progress, and most treatments are for controlling symptoms. Ultimately, arthritis can be cured, but only by replacing the joint. As of now, we have no effective way to halt the progress of osteoarthritis.
