Depends on source: Some sites equate "indian fire" with impetigo, a staph/strep infxn of skin: red rash with honey-colored crusts; very contaigious (google impetigo: images). Others equate it with rosacea, a red rash seen usually on cheeks & nose. (google rosacea: images). Both conditions are treated with antibiotics; impetigo can be cured; rosacea merely controlled.
