A member asked:

Why would my finger still be numb after a year of being bit by a spider?

Peripheral nerves: The most logical explanation is that the bite venom affected a peripheral superficial nerve and has left your finger numb. It may come back with time. Peripheral nerve pathways can repair slowly.

Hard to say: Possibly due to the fact that the spider bite affected the local sensory nerves in the area of the bite so that they no longer function at full capacity.
