What is the survival rate for phyllodes tumors of the breast?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Varies with Type: Phyllodes tumors of the breast are very rare;therefore , rx data is lacking. These are classified as benign, borderline, or malignant; most people in the first two categories are cured by surgery; if malignant, the 5-yr survival is estimated at 60-80%. Rx consists of wide-excision; radiation and chemorx is controversial and reserved for the malignant sub-type.
