Rest,ice,nsaids: I would recommend avoidance of the activity that caused the problem also, i would use ice, NSAID medication and rest. Depending on the response to the above, you might require a local cortisone injection or some physical therapy.

Start with RICE: Lateral epicondylitis (aka "tennis elbow") is a common overuse injury to the elbow. In order to treat the pain, i recommend you start with rice, follow with stretching/ strengthening (therapy), & consider couterforce bracing.
