Bipolar: Main tx is mood stabilizers. Other medications are added depending on presentation, such as anxiety meds., antidepressants, antipsychotics. Also psychotherapy.

Treatment: for bipolar disorder includes medications & non-pharmacological options. Meds often fall into the classes of mood stabilizers (Lithium,​/ anticonvulsants such as valproic acid, divalproex or lamotrigine) & atypical antipsychotics (Quetiapine, aripiprazole, olanzapine or risperidone). Treatment may include psychoeducation, cognitive behavioral therapy, psychotherapy, family or group therapy.
