A member asked:

How exactly do prostaglandin analogue eye drops open the uveoscleral passageways?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not known: These are effective anti-glaucoma drops which allow the internal eye fluid to get out of the eye both at the normal drain (the angle) and the posterior circulation (uvealscleral). Prostaglandins are bodily produced hormones and these chemicals affect many bodily functions and have been found to help with glaucoma pressure. The exact mechanism is not known, but is being studied.
