No: Ticks do not spread influenza. People do.Occasionally animals may such as bird flu.

NO: Influenza never comes from ticks or insects. Usually it comes from people, sometimes birds, especially migratory aquatic birds (geese, ducks). Swine flue, of course, begins in pigs but becomes important if it is able to spread from person to person.
