Yes,but not together: The only prescriptions that might interfere with acidophilus are antibiotics, but being on antibiotics is when we need probiotics the most! if on antibiotics take a high potency probiotic, at least 20 billion, and take at least a couple hours away from antibiotics. I also advise taking sacchromyces boulardii, a probiotic yeast, if you are on antibiotics- this can be taken at the same time.
