Common: Early after inguinal hernia it is not uncommon to have some temporary scrotal swelling and bruise color. It usually resolves in a few days. If there is a lot of pain and increasing swelling, contact your surgeon.

Completely normal: It part of the surgery process to reduce the hernia and fix it. All bruising and swelling will subside in no time.
