Thyroid ultrasound question: what do cancer's look like on ultrasound?

Darker than normal: Ultrasound shows differences in density of thyroid nodules. They many times seem darkerthan normal thyoid tissue. Sometimes you can see increased amount of small blood vessels. Sometimes you can see small specks of calcium.
