A member asked:

Can a person be infected with trichomonas and it not be from any sexual activity?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Probably not: Per the cdc and other authorities. Trichomonas is transmitted by sexual contact with an infected person. It can lay dormant in men for years from an earlier infection. 70% of those infected may have no symptoms.
