Can rhinovirus be deadly?

Not usually: Rhinovirus is one of the most common viruses associated with the common cold. Healthy individuals can clear this virus with their immune responses. Chronically ill people are often immunocompromised, and a simple and common virus such as rhinovirus could have its way in a weak immune system, thereby leading to pneumonia and death. This is unusual.
