LEEP and Driving: Only if a narcotic is used. I will often use a mild tranquilizer, in the family if valium, for the procedure to help a patient be more comfortable. In that case, someone to drive the patient home would be needed.

Not necessary: Most leeps are done under local which wears off in minutes & doesn't leave any residual effects. If you require a sedative, your doc will inform you to have someone drive you. I haven't needed to sedate anyone or require a driver in over 20 years...
