A member asked:

Why is there a pain in my ears after swimming at the pool yesterday?

Several possibilties: 2 possibilities come to mind. The development of external otitis, an infection of the skin of the ear canal and secondly, you may have a tiny perforation of the ear drum. A third possibility is the cold water may cause muscle spasm of the muscles of mastication which can cause otalgia or ear ache. Wearing ear plugs might prevent any of these possible causes in the future.
