A member asked:

Why is it always better to sit upright in a chair if you have back pain?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

See below: When you sit upright, your spine takes on its natural curves and reduces stress on the discs and muscles. When you slouch, you put more pressure on the discs and muscles and this tends to lead to more back pain.
