Need more info: What's the effect of a magnetic field on what? Is is from an mri, a medical device, a homemade device, the earth's magnetic field, a refrigerator magnet? A static magnetic field is generally harmless. A dynamic magnetic field can depolarize neurons depending on the strength of the field and where it is applied.
