What is a visual fields test?

Dr. Alvin Lin answered

Visual field test: Visual field test is used to assess your field of vision aka peripheral vision. This can be affected by glaucoma so we monitor your visual field as another means to assess treatment measures. Of course, there are other reasons for loss of visual field such as droopy eyelid (ptosis). Check out http://www.medicinenet.com/visual_field_test/article.htm & http://goo.gl/nuWt2G for more info.
