Maybe, maybe not: Isn't negligence a legal definition? You might be better off seeking opinion from legal website since this is a physician only site to point out medical info. With that said, if someone's walking in a hallway, falls & hits his/her head, why do we always look to blame someone else? Maybe it was just a pure accident? Even if power cord, liquid and/or banana peel on ground, must prove willful intent.
