Yes: But only if you are so addicted to tobacco that you don't care how much it hurts. It will make the tonsillitis feel worse, cause more pain, and probably take longer to clear. You are still very young, but you are going to find out that you are not immortal, and that tobacco is hurting you. Quitting is usually easier during a respiratory infection - please try to quit, and get some help.
