Dessicated thyroid effect on weight?

Thyroid function: It depends on how you respond to variability in your thyroid function. Dessicated thyroid is known for its variability in thyroid hormone concentration from pill to pill. If you take too much, you might stay the same weight, gain, or, lose depending on your caloric intake and energy expenditure. Studies have not shown any benefit when compared to levothyroxine.

Thyroid replacement: Dessicated thyroid/armour thyroid, is a natural t3 (liothyronine)&t4 mix, & in my opinion is superior to levothyroxine which only has t4(less potent/active than t3 (liothyronine)) &largely ineffective in patients unable convert T4 to t3 (liothyronine). Seems counterintuitive to prescribe the less active hormone when there's a more active one available. Once thyroid hormones in balance wt loss& increase energy observed.
