Shoes/clothes/watch: You will need the right shoes and clothes to be comfortable and not get injured. A sport watch is helpful . Need not be expensive -- timex / casio make good inexpensive ones. Good sunglasses are important and sunscreen. I recommend getting the road i.D. As a safety measure. Go to a running store, explain your race and ask about shoes and clothes. Try them before buying.
