Does the us army prevent people from joining if they have seizures?

Depends: If you still need medication, you will probably not be allowed to enter. If you have been seizure free off medication, and have a normal eeg, there should be no problem.

In some situations: For enlistment or commissioning the following is disqualifying ”epilepsy, beyond the age of 5 unless the applicant has been free of seizures for a period of 5 years while taking no medication for seizure control, and has a normal electroencephalogram (eeg).”.
