Healing egg ritual: The use of eggs for healings and cleansings is very common in latin/spanish and italian communities. It is a folk healing tradition where, supposedly, a raw egg may be rubbed gently over the body to draw any negativity out of the person. Any particularly afflicted or painful area is given particular attention. I have seen eggs used in some hawaiian spiritual healing cermonies also.
