A member asked:

How many contraceptive pills should there be in a box?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Typically 28: Typically there are 28 pills per month. Some are divided into 21 active pills and 7 placebo (period) pills, some are 24 active and 4 placebos. Some pills come in a three month continous pill pack with placebos only once every 3 months. These are called continous suppression birth control and are another option to monthly cycles.
