A member asked:

Does having a laparoscopic nissen fundoplication make it impossible to vomit!?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Difficult,Not IMPSBL: The goal of the operation is to prevent stomach contents from going up into the esophagus. Therefore vomiting and belching are both made much more difficult. However, with a loose wrap, most people still can vomit on occasion.
