What would the symptoms be from a tooth abcess that spread to your jawbone?

Pain/sweling: Any abcess that is acute will produce much pain and likely swelling. Pain can radiate toward your ear and/or up toward your eye as well. Call your dentist asap. You will need antibiotic and either a root canal or extraction if it is an abcess.

Pain/swelling: Usually pain and swelling in the gums underneath the culprit tooth. Sometimes if the infection is severe enough you may get a fever. The tooth may feel more loose or hitting the opposing tooth harder when you close your mouth.

Many: You can have significant swelling, lock jaw, swelling in the back of the throat, swelling around the eye, difficulty breathing, fever, redness around the infected area. Consult with an oral surgeon asap.
